James completed his bachelor’s degree in music education with a voice primary at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey. After taking a year off to work, he then moved to Tucson, Arizona to begin his master’s degree in choral conducting at the University of Arizona. While completing his degree he was the choir director at a Lutheran church as well as the chorus master for the opera at the U of A. Operas in which James has been involved either as chorus member or chorus master include: L'Ivrogne Corrigé, The Mikado, L’elisir d’amore, and a scene from La Cenerentola. After being in the Southwest for two years James is excited to be back on the east coast, and is excited to make music with not just the Chancel Choir but with everyone here at Christ Church.
