The place of music in worship and in the life of the Church has been one of prominence since Old Testament times. Music is a powerful medium that can move mind and heart. Our faith is strengthened by the hymns and responses we sing, and the anthems to which we listen. Through all of these we hear the voice of God speaking to us. We encourage everyone to participate in the music ministry at Christ Church. Through our various ensembles, we’re certain there’s a place for everyone.
The Chancel Choir is the adult vocal choir which sings most Sundays during the 10:30 AM worship service, as well as performing a special Christmas and Lenten Cantata each year. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings 7:30 – 8:45 PM. Anyone interested in joining this choir is always welcome!
Carillon, Christ Church's handbell choir, rehearses Tuesday evenings 7:00-8:30 PM. If you are interested in learning to ring hand bells/chimes and joining the Carillon Choir, please contact Ruthann Ressler at 964-3729.
CollectiveSpirit is a group of our congregation’s singers and musicians who focus on developing more folk/rock/pop style music for worship. The sound is contemporary while great effort is taken to choose lyrics that reflect the valued theology of Christ Church and the UCC.
