Christ Church Music Program

Music is a way of worshiping and praising God through song, and Christ Church is blessed with a host of very talented musicians. There is a musical opportunity for those ages 4 to 104! Our youngest members work with Miss Ali who teaches age-appropriate music and prepares them for musical offerings throughout the year. The children’s choirs consist of Cherub (ages 4-6), Credo (ages 7-10), and Carol (ages 11-13).

The Chancel Choir is under the direction of James Stirling. This adult choir rehearses most Wednesday evenings late August - late May. Musical pieces include classical, spiritual, and traditional liturgical music accompanied by organ or piano. The Chancel Choir offers a musical offering each Sunday during the 10:30 a.m. worship service, September - May.

CollectiveSpirit, Christ Church’s contemporary ensemble, offers a selection of worship music with a contemporary folk flare. Under the direction of Jan Stouffer, CollectiveSpirit is comprised of vocalists backed by guitar, piano, drums, and bass.

The Carillon Bell Choir offers musical selections monthly. Our group of hand bell ringers rehearse Tuesday evenings, and is under the direction of Ruthann Ressler. This group is open to teens through adults.
