Christ Church UCC is located in the community of Elizabethtown located in northwestern Lancaster County
We are a community of Christian people with a long and rich history that began in 1743 at Centerville, Pennsylvania. In 1815 Christ Church moved to Elizabethtown under the name of German Reformed Church, and in 1901 moved to the present site on S. Market St. In 1957, the German Reformed and Congregational Christian Churches merged to become The United Church of Christ.
Today we are a vibrant congregation which seeks to share the love of Christ. We welcome all people from all backgrounds to worship with us.
The mission of Christ Church is to follow Jesus, inviting all people to participate in Christian life through worship and ministry. We serve locally, regionally, and globally through education and outreach.
Should you chose to visit with us on Sunday, you can expect an usher to greet you at the door with a bulletin for you to follow. Our services are a blend of traditional and contemporary, and folks arrive dressed casually to very dressy. Come as you are!
There are nursery attendants who will look after little ones age newborn through age 5 upstairs in the Nursery which is located in the upper level of the Education wing. An usher will be happy to direct you.
Please be sure to check out the Christian Education page to learn more about Church School programs for ages Preschool through Adult.
